Coordinating the event with the annual alumni baseball game earlier that day, Gentile enlisted the help of his players and their parents to coordinate the party. Present Terra Nova baseball coach Joey Gentile organized the event upon learning that this year was the 50th year of the baseball team. The school’s first baseball team was fielded in 1961. More than 200 people, mostly former Terra Nova players, gathered at Nick’s Restaurant to reunite with their former coaches and reminisce about their years of playing baseball.
